Rebates for Psychology Appointments
Medicare
Psychology appointments held under a GP Mental Health Care Plan are eligible for Medicare rebates of $96.65. Medicare provides up to 10 rebates per year.
Private Health Insurance
Private health insurance rebates vary. Please contact your provider to ask them about your plan.
Please note: Rebates are amounts that you are reimbursed by the third party (Medicare, Private Health Provider). They are not deducted from the fee.
Autism Assessments (Adults - 18+ years)
With full diagnostic report: $1,800
With brief diagnostic letter: $1,250
Rebates for Autism Assessments
Medicare
Medicare only provides rebates for autism assessments for people under 25 years with a referral from a psychiatrist or paediatrician.

Extended (1.5 hours): $270
Registered psychologists & other mental health professionals (incl GST)
